🚓 Leicester City Police – Weekly Roundup 🚓

🚓 City Centre NCO4 Weekly Round-up 🚓

It's been another busy week for the City Centre team as officers and PCSOs continue working to keep Leicester safe.

🚲 Operation PedalFast

This evening, officers took part in Operation PedalFast, targeting uninsured and illegally used vehicles on our roads. The operation resulted in the seizure of several vehicles that should not have been on the road without insurance.

The operation also led to the arrest of an adult male on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, demonstrating that proactive policing not only removes illegal vehicles from our streets but can also uncover more serious criminality.

👥 Child-Centred Policing

On Wednesday, officers attended an important briefing focused on a child-centred approach to policing. The session provided a valuable refresher and reinforced the importance of understanding the needs of children and young people when responding to incidents and engaging with our communities.

🚴 Bike Register Event

On Tuesday, PCSO Donna and PCSO Jane hosted a successful bike-registering event at Leicester Town Hall. Several bicycles were added to the national bike register, helping to deter theft and improve the chances of bicycles being reunited with their rightful owners if they are lost or stolen.

👮 High-Visibility Patrols and Problem Solving

Throughout the week, officers carried out high-visibility patrols in Cathedral Gardens and Town Hall Square, focusing on tackling antisocial behaviour, drug use and drug dealing while providing reassurance to those visiting and working in the city centre.

Meanwhile, PC Dean has continued working with other officers to develop intelligence and evidence with the aim of securing Criminal Behaviour Orders against individuals causing harm within our communities.
